The Federation professionelle des journalists du Québec (FPJQ) will hold its annual congress from 16-18 November in Trois Rivières, Québec. Entitled "The Beginning of a New Era?" the congress will examine such topics as the growing influence of alternative media; media synergies; journalists and defamation; tools for researching terrorism on the Internet; and the uneasy relationship between regional decision makers and the media.
