International journalists are invited to sign up to receive free news stories by e-mail on topics ranging from adolescent health to women's equality. The PUSH Journal (Periodic Updates of Sexual and Reproductive Health Issues Around the World) news service allows reporters and editors to select up to 20 topics related to their own region of the world.
Subjects include HIV/Aids, population, refugees and migration, economic development, the environment, family planning, girls' education and urbanisation.
Journalists can access full-text stories supplied through Lexis-Nexis from more than 5,000 news outlets around the world. In addition, they have free access to a searchable database of stories selected since the year 2000. PUSH is supported by the United Nations Population Fund, Lexis-Nexis, Communications Consortium Media Center and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
