Winners will be featured in Freedom House's "Worst of the Worst 2012" report, which documents political and civil rights conditions in the world's most repressive regimes.
Works from any country or region of the world will be considered, but preference will be given to works from some of the "worst of the worst": Belarus, Burma, Chad, China, Cuba, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Laos, Libya, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Swaziland, Syria, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, South Ossetia, Tibet and Western Sahara.
