OSCE TO HOLD CONFERENCE ON INTERNET FREE EXPRESSION

What challenges do new information technologies pose for freedom of expression and press freedom? A conference hosted by the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) will attempt to answer this and other questions at a two-day conference in Amsterdam, Netherlands, next month.

Organised by the OSCE's media freedom representative, the conference will take place from 13 to 14 June and bring together experts from non-governmental organisations, academia, media and other fields of expertise to discuss free expression on the Internet and contribute to the public debate on the information society. The results of this conference will be published this autumn.
