(CEMESP/IFEX) – Journalist Smith Toby of Truth FM has survived an armed attack by unknown persons at his home in Monrovia. The journalist is still contending with the trauma.
It is widely assumed that the perpetrators are political hirelings who targeted the journalist for perceived broadcasts complimentary to the ruling government and much to the displeasure of certain opposition parties.
Truth FM has consistently been accused by opposition political parties as having a pro-government bent.
