En 2019, le nombre de journalistes emprisonnés dans le monde à cause de leur travail est resté proche des niveaux record, alors que la Chine a resserré son emprise sur la presse et la Turquie, après avoir éliminé pratiquement tous les reportages indépendants, a libéré des journalistes en attente de procès ou d’appel.
