(IPYS/IFEX) – On 30 October 2010, several unidentified individuals fired shots at the headquarters of TV Macapá, a Rede Globo relay station in the State of Amapá in northern Brazil. No one was injured in the incident.
It is suspected that the attack was aimed at two lawyers, supporters of the state governor, Camilo Capiberibe, who were inside the building at the time of the incident.
The two men told the police that they had gone to the station’s headquarters to talk to one of TV Macapá’s directors. They filed a formal complaint at the local police station.
