again “Referendum” had ceased publishing at the beginning of last October.
The reason given at the time was financial trouble. However the owners –
less than two months later – have again produced the daily, this time
without all the independent journalists (who were fired), and with an openly
pro-government line.
Various analysts are of the opinion that the daily might have been
re-established through funding from people or institutions linked to the
government.
