Report on press freedom violations, October 2002
The Foundation for Press Freedom (FLIP) has released a report on press freedom violations in October 2002.
The report analyses the press freedom situation in Colombia. FLIP’s Network of Alerts and for the Protection of Journalists (Red de Alerta y Proteccion a Periodistas, RAPP) reported on attacks against eight journalists and threats against one other journalist in October.
Also included in the report is an update on the status of several court cases connected to assassinations of journalists. Moreover, the report describes a number of obstacles to press freedom.
