Remember when we believed that playing records backwards could reveal subliminal messages, or that the Great Wall of China could be seen from space? We may even have believed that putting urine on a jellyfish sting would heal it. Or perhaps we told somebody that a friend of a brother of a distant uncle knew someone who was sucked down an airplane toilet.
We need to stop sharing information without knowing where it comes from. We’ll be celebrating Right to Know Day on September 28, and we want to stop false information being passed from one generation to the next.
