"Is there a need for state regulation on the Internet?" is the topic of an IRFS roundtable discussion.
(IRFS/IFEX) – On 3 May 2010, World Press Freedom Day, at 11:00 a.m., the grave of slain Editor-in-chief of “Monitor Journal” Elmar Huseynov will be visited.
From noon to 2:00 p.m., in the press centre of the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety (IRFS), a roundtable will be held on the theme: “is there a need for state regulation on the internet?”
During the event organized by IRFS and the Media Rights Institute, a discussion will be held regarding the recent statements of state organs on the licensing of Internet TV and taking control over social networks.
NGO heads, editors, journalists, diplomatic corps representatives and all interested parties are invited to the event.
