World Press Freedom Day will be commemorated on 3 May 2012 in Indonesia with the theme "Against Impunity - Put Killers of Journalists on Trial."
(AJI/IFEX) – 2 May 2012- The Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI) calls on our colleagues from all nations to help us spread our campaign on World Press Freedom Day which will be commemorated on 3 May 2012 in Indonesia with the theme “Against Impunity – Put Killers of Journalists on Trial.” The campaign will be aimed at requesting law enforcers in Indonesia to look into eight cases of journalists’ killings committed since 1996.
Please express your support for the campaign by sending a letter to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Please find below a letter format that you may find it appropriate as a template.
