(JED/IFEX) – Franck Baku Fuita, editor-in-chief of the daily “La Référence Plus”, was released from prison on Friday 22 September 2000.
The journalist’s release order indicated that “since the motives for the journalist’s arrest no longer exist, he was released”. The journalist spent twenty-two days in prison.
Baku was arrested on 1 September by order of the state prosecutor. He was accused of “insulting the magistracy”.
