Garuma Bekele, Solomon Nemerra and Tesfaye Deressa, all of Urji, had been
granted bail for charges relating to the press law, but were later denied
bail because they have also been charged with “engaging themselves in
terrorist activities.”
There are currently eleven journalists in prison in Ethiopia.
