**Updates IFEX alert dated 15 May 1996**
Ismael Muhammad Al-Hussein, news director at Sudanese television,
news editors Hussein Saleh and Abbas Suleiman, cameraman Osama
Ghandi and journalist Ibrahim Alacid (previously unreported) were
arrested at the end of April 1996. There has been no news of them
since. They were accused of attempting to overthrow the government
because they had kept the keys to the television network’s
offices.
