Another opposition website, http://www.kub.kz, said that the Ak Zhol website was blocked soon after it published an Ak Zhol executive committee statement entitled, “Democratic future of Kazakhstan is in danger!”. The statement criticised a court ruling that banned the Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan opposition party and accused authorities of violating the political rights and liberties guaranteed to Kazakhstani citizens by the country’s Constitution.
