Three Sudanese journalists have been refused visas to attend the
Arab Summit due to be held in Cairo on 22 and 23 June 1996.
Mohieddin Tantawi, Mohieddin Titawi and Fath Al-Rahman Al-Nahas,
editors respectively of the dailies “Al-Rai Al-Akbar”, “Al-Inkaz
Al-Watani” and “Al-Sudan Al-Hadith”, had applied for visas from
the Egyptian embassy in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan. No reason
was given for the refusal.
