(BIANET/IFEX) – 2011 saw a total of 104 journalists and 30 media workers imprisoned, most of them on allegations of having links to “illegal organizations” under Turkey’s Anti-Terror Law or Turkish Criminal Law, according to media monitoring results released this week by BIANET. Journalists and media workers from Kurdish media outlets account for 94 out of the 134 cases.
