Al-Farhan was released after spending 145 days in prison. His confinement commenced on 11 December 2007.
Meanwhile, at the beginning of April, before releasing Al-Farhan, the authorities blocked his blog ( http://www.alfarhan.org ).
“It is good to release Al-Farhan. Despite our happiness for his freedom, however, we are awaiting a declaration from the Saudi government clarifying the real reasons for his detention. We also call upon authorities to unblock his blog immediately,” said HRinfo.
