Journalist Nahar Ali killing: charge-sheet submitted
After completion of a 10-month investigation, police have submitted a charge-sheet against 16 terrorists for the killing of journalist Nahar Ali of Khulna.
On 17 April 2001, miscreants kidnapped journalist Nahar Ali from his Dumuria residence, in the southern divisional town of Khulna. He was found with severe injuries and finally died in hospital on 21 April.
Police filed a case against twenty-two suspected terrorists, including underground terrorist Anil Krishana Bain, and arrested six individuals. However, following a 10-month investigation, police have finally submitted a charge-sheet (formal accusations) against 16 terrorists. The formal case against the accused will now begin in court.
