EFJA obtained official recognition seven years after its establishment and for the past three years has been carrying out its work under very difficult and challenging conditions.
In a 10 November 2003 letter to EFJA, the Ministry of Justice’s Associations’ Registration Office banned the organization from carrying out its activities.
We call on our international colleagues and allies, civil society and professional associations to protest the action against EFJA and its leaders.
Kifle Mulat
President, EFJA
