Burkina Faso’s media regulator accuses “Voice of America” of demoralising troops in the country and neighbouring Mali through its “Washington Forum” programme.
The 4 Burkinabè journalists – Atiana Serge Oulon, Alain Traoré, Adama Bayala, and Kalifaré Séré – who disappeared within a month, are well known for their critical thinking and reporting.
In the lead-up to his abduction, Radio Omega journalist Alain Niozè Traoré faced numerous threats.
