(IFJ/IFEX) – IFJ is welcoming Iranian President Mohammad Khatemi’s recent
call for more transparent coverage by Iranâs radio and television.
According to IFJ reports of his speech, Khatemi stated that media should not
function like mosques and that “Radio and television must correctly inform
the public about what is happening in Iran and abroad without broadcasting
too much propaganda in support of the government.”
