(IFJ/IFEX) – Journalist Tony Saldaña Flores denounced Provincial Attorney
Juan Arenas Guevara before the Public Ministry, accusing him of being
responsible for the harassment that he has been subjected to. The accusation
was presented to the decentralised commission of the Internal Control
department of San Martín, in the Juanquí province, department of San Martín.
Saldaña is the editor of the “Pulso Informativo” programme, which was
transmitted by Radio Mar, in San Martín, until its cancellation. He declared
to the attorney that, since 25 March, he had been subjected to pressure and
harassment by various public officials and attorneys.
In his programme, Saldaña called into question the management of some
regional officials and the work of the provincial attorney, Arenas Guevara.
As a result, he was denounced for alleged violence and resisting authority.
