Republica” daily newspaper in Guatemala, has “disappeared” since
Tuesday 28 March 1995. He left work and has not been heard from
since. The FIP office in Guatemala, the CPC (Coordinadora de
Proyectos Centroamericanos), appealed to Guatemalan President
Ramiro de Leon Carpio in the case, and to Human Rights
Ombudsperson (Procurador) Jorge Mario Garcia Laguardia, with whom
FIP has entered into an agreement on the rights of journalists.
