(RSF/IFEX) – RSF is concerned by the recent harassment of journalist Taoufik
Ben Brick, a correspondent with the French press agency “SYFIA” in Tunis.
**Updates IFEX alert of 24 June 1998**
According to RSF’s information, Taoufik Ben Brick’s telephone line has been
cut since 28 December 1998, for no apparent technical or administrative
reason. Moreover, his mail service has been discontinued. In recent days, he
has been under steady police surveillance, also without justification (two
automobiles follow him everywhere and park in front of his residence).
Recommended Action
Send appeals to the Interior Minister:
