RTCMALI correspondent Claude Kasongo was released from prison on 22 July 2009.
(JED/IFEX) – Claude Kasongo, a correspondent with Radio Télévision Communautaire Maniema Liberté (RTCMALI) who was arrested on 20 July 2009 and taken to Kindu’s main prison, was released on the afternoon of 22 July.
Speaking to JED after leaving the prison, Kasongo said his editor had paid US$80 bail for his release.
