(IFJ/IFEX) – Ethiopian journalists Goshu Moges, Biru Tsegaye, Anteneh Merid
and Taye Belachew were all released in August 1998. Biru Tsegaye has been
charged and will appear in court in October, but the other three were
released without charge.
**Updates IFEX alert of 22 January 1998**
The four journalists were originally arrested on 16 January 1998. They all
worked for the private weekly newspaper “Tobia”, which had its premises
destroyed in a fire of undetermined origin, hours after their arrest.
