the Lagos State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Lanre
Arogundade, was arrested at his house by plainclothes policemen from
Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo state.

The police team of the anti-robbery section of the state Criminal
Investigation Department (CID), Iyaganku Ibadan, was led by Samuel Akpofure
and A. Peters.
No reason was given for the journalist’s arrest.
