Elsewhere, the Supreme Court has ruled that the government must allow Kantipur Television (KTV) to broadcast its programmes by satellite and all FM radio stations to broadcast news.
Meanwhile violence against reporters in the country has been continuing, with five journalists beaten by soldiers in Kathmandu on 5 May.
