(JED/IFEX) – On Monday 3 April 2000, Joseph-Boucard Kasonga Tshilunde Baya Yowumwe, publisher of the Kinshasa newspaper “L’Eveil”, was summoned by the crime squad of the public prosecutor office’s criminal investigation department in Kinshasa. He was to be heard on a matter which would be explained to him there.
Kasonga Tshilunde went to the office of Crispin Kapinga, the criminal investigation department’s inspector, but was asked to return on Tuesday 4 April, as Kapinga was out of the office due to a work engagement.
The editor-in-chief of “L’Eveil” was also summoned by the crime squad, but is currently travelling.
