Serbia and Montenegro. According to IFJ’s information, “Danas” appeared on
news stands in Montenegro on 4 November 1998 but the publication was
prevented from entering Serbia by border police.

Background Information
This action by customs follows a recent temporary ban on “Danas”, which
provides independent news to the population of the Federal Republic of
Yugoslavia.
