“Le Phare”, on 15 September 1999, the programme directors of the private
television stations TKM (Télé Kin-Malebo) and Antenne A received an order
from the Agence Nationale de Sécurité (National Intelligence Agency, ANR) to
cease broadcasting political debates or other programmes of a political
nature on their stations. TKM had recently featured Mr. Ndom, a politician
who claims to represent an opposition group, as a guest on the programme
“Temps Forts”, which is broadcast Sundays at noon (local time).
