Uganda’s feminist movement is under threat as foreign donors support conservative groups.
In a historic verdict, Uganda’s High court ruled that journalists Timothy Mulungi and Henry Sekanjako had their rights to movement, speech, conscience, opinion, assembly, and association violated.
Uganda’s digital number plate system, which is aimed at facilitating the ability of authorities to improve services, will also have the detrimental impact of expanding the country’s surveillance capabilities.
